Weather in Anchorage Alaska

Summer is a good time of year to be in South Central Alaska. Many tourists are surprised at how long our days are and how green Alaska is. Many are used to advertisements that depict Alaska as cold and snowy. Anchorage’s weather can be described as temperate.

Our weather is not too warm or too cold. The warmest Anchorage temperature recorded was on the 4th of July 2019. The temp was 90°. This is higher than the daily high temps of 67°. With that being said, your mileage may vary. Alaska weather is unpredictable. Anchorage has had dustings of snow in May and September. Anchorageites squeeze many activities into our short summers.
